MITC East Bay believes in individualized programming and strives to support person centered activities and choices.
As an integral part of MITC East Bay’s community-based programming, local community resources will be utilized to the fullest extent for the consumers’ benefit. These resources may include community resources such as county transit services and community recreation centers, as well as those coming from private and non-profit agencies.
MITC East Bay will serve as a bridge and conduit for the consumers’ active community building and civic engagement activities.
MITC East Bay is situated in close proximity to the downtown area of the City of San Leandro. It is centrally located, accessible to shopping centers - Grocery Outlet, CVS, Safeway, a strip of other novelty stores and eateries are just across and a distance away from the building. Marina Square Center is also close by and features a variety of factory outlet and regular retail stores. Socio-Recreational and educational facilities such as theaters, schools, variety of eating places, transportation and major freeway interchanges, 880 and 580 are likewise accessible around the area.
At MITC East Bay, we provide caring and effective behavioral support services to help individuals thrive In the community. Our team includes a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who work together to guide Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programs and supportive counseling. Services include assessment, development, and implementation of individualized Positive Behavior Support Plans that promote skill development, independence, and community integration. All practices are person-centered, trauma-informed, and evidence-based, ensuring that MITC East Bay remains in full compliance with Title 17, Title 22, and the HCBS Final Rule.
